Muckman was originally a garbage collector named Garson Grunge who turned into a walking pile of trash when Bebop and Rocksteady spilled a mutagen through a window, which then landed on him. The accident also mutated his friend, Joe Junkee. They took on the names Muckman and Joe Eyeball. The two were initially enemies of the Turtles, because they blamed them for their mutation.
There are no known variants of this figure, but it has been reissued on occasion, so it can be found with different packaging and blister packs; the most sought-after among collectors is, obviously, the first version from 1990.
